What's Happening in Campus Services
The UCCS Sustainability Summit returned on April 18, 2025, focusing on the theme "Our Power, Our Planet" to celebrating Earth Day and promote collective action towards sustainability. The event featured interactive programming, including academic presentations, panel discussions, and a community resource fair. It marked the 20th anniversary of sustainability efforts at UCCS.
UCCS has installed five new electric vehicle charging stations with dual port chargers, bringing the total to ten stations across the campus. These stations are available for public use at a rate of 20 cents per kWh, but vehicles must be actively charging while parked in these spots.
UCCS Parking and Transportation Services has launched a new shuttle-tracking overlay for the campus map website. This tool allows passengers to see real-time updates on shuttle locations, enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of campus transportation. The overlay indicates whether a shuttle is in motion, stopped, or out of service.
